Nordic Chic

This garden in the toney Summerhill neighbourhood encapsulates the casual chic of a Northern Garden. Although not large, the strong modern geometry, different elevations and varied plantings create two distinct outdoor rooms. The sliding glass door allows for a strong connection between the house and sunken garden patio large enough to accommodate posh dining and living areas. While the elevated area at the North end, adjacent to the rustic studio, is distinctly more casual. Here Muskoka chairs are arranged around the firepit, native wildflowers grow along the edges, and thyme creeps between hefty pavers.
